Let's get started with our online banking called Virtual Branch

Online banking is more than being able to view your account online. It's the tool that opens up possibilities: free bill pay from one website, scheduled transfers, one-time transfer of funds, making a loan payment and more. Once your online account is set up, then download the mobile app for even more convenience and bank wherever your smartphone takes you!

TO SET UP VIRTUAL BRANCH:

  1. Go to our website, https://www.freestarfinancial.com. The website is best viewed with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari.
  2. Click the Account Login button.

FOR FIRST TIME USERS

Click on the “Enroll” button.

                                                 

  • Enter your member (account) number and PIN. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of the primary member’s social security number. NOTE: If you also use Magic Touch that PIN, that is what you would want to use.
  • Click on and read “Terms and Conditions”. A new window will open. (You will not be allowed to move on unless this window is opened.) Close the page when finished. Check the box next to “Terms and Conditions” and click continue.
  • Choose a Login ID. Logon ID must be between 6 - 50 characters and may contain only letters, numbers, periods(.), dashes(-), underscores(_), and the @ symbol.
  • Choose a Security Code (password). Security Code must be between 8 - 16 characters, have at least two numbers and two letters, and can include these special characters: _ - . ! @ $ * ( ) = + { } [ ] |
  • Re-enter your new Security Code in the Verify Security Code box.
  • Enter valid email address.
  • Click “Enroll” at bottom of the page.
  • Changes to login information were successful and your new login ID will be displayed. Print page to keep for personal records.
  • Click link to login. Continue will the steps below.

FOR RETURNING USERS AND FIRST-TIME LOGIN AFTER ENROLLMENT

                         

  • Enter your login ID. Click Logon.
  • For existing users:
    • If accessing Virtual Branch on an unfamiliar computer, answer the security question.
    • Once on the Security Code page, verify the Security Phrase displayed is correct.
  • Enter Security Code (Password).  If you don't know your password - see the Forgot Security Code Section below.
  • First-time login after enrollment or after a Password Reset- You will set up 3 security questions.
    • Review the questions given.  If you would like to change the questions, click on the dark V at the end of the question to select a different question.
    • Enter the answer to the question.  Each question must have a different answer.  Answers are case specific, so if you use CAPS to answer, it will have to be entered that way again.
    • Questions and answers saved.
    • Security Phrase (different than Code)- For your security, enter a unique Security Phrase that will always be visible on the Security Code page to verify that you are not on a phishing site. DO NOT put sensitive information as Phrase as it is displayed before Code is put in. Click “Ok” when complete.
    • Set up the options/preference for your account
  • Member redirected to Virtual Branch Account Display page.

Forgot Security Code

  1. Click the link “Forgot Security Code?” underneath the User Logon option.
  2. Type in your logon ID in space provided. Click “Ok”. 
  3. You will be redirected back to the logon screen with a message that a temporary security code has been emailed to the email address provided to FreeStar Financial.

Temporary passwords are only valid for 15 minutes after they are sent by email.
