Make A Difference Day

By staying true to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” employees of FreeStar Financial Credit Union volunteer their personal time to make a difference by helping others in our community at least once year. Our goal is to select an organization where we can be working with people or the people who will benefit from our service. Shred Day 2017 & 60th Anniversary Celebration

The 2017 Shred Day and 60th Anniversary celebration took place on September 16, 2017, at the Sterling Heights branch. Free shredding was provided and prize balloons, cider, donuts and popcorn were enjoyed by all.


Mad City Money - budgeting simulations at high schools

How can budgeting be taught to high school students so they will retain the information and understand the importance of creating a budget while incurrinig the consequences of their decisions? FreeStar Financial Credit Union brings Mad City Money to high schools to do just that. We have found an interactive, fun tool to engage students in budgeting.
